INDUSTRIAL DESIGN

I strive to craft timeless designs by focusing on a minimalistic and purposeful aesthetic. My philosophy centers on simplicity, where I ensure that every structural element and functional detail works in harmony to provide visual appeal. I believe that true beauty arises from genuine utility, ensuring that every component serves a specific role rather than existing as mere ornamentation.

I am a product designer/developer from Karlstad, Sweden. I soon have the Degree of Master of Science in Engineering - Design and Product Development with a major in Industrial Engineering. Product development is not only my study subject or future career choice, it is also a passion of mine. I love the creativity, the feeling of being proud of a creation and the collaboration with others, working with projects.

The project had few requirements but there were some. The theme was supposed to be “inconcrete” brutalism which meant brutalism without any concrete and that it didn’t have to be very brutalistic. We took inspiration from brutalism in the way that we made our design very honest. We chose to make a outside chair because the second requirement was that it should be sold in Vadstena and we required the information that many people living in Vadstena have a backyard and that the average age is quite old. We chose galvanized steel and teak wood as our two materials because of their great strength and outside use abilities.

INTERACTIVE Table TOPS

Fenomenmagasinet is a science center based in Linköping that recently moved to new premises and they wanted support with developing new and approved exhibition furniture and interior design pieces. The purpose of the project has been to create products that can complement Fenomenmagasinet's themes and extend the exhibition into the café area. The project group has used several methods to create, develop and improve concepts. The project has resulted in three interactive tables with interchangeable content. 

Material

The tabletop is constructed from several different materials. The frame of both the inner drawer and the outer structure is primarily made of pine. This wooden construction forms the load-bearing framework and gives the table its basic shape and stability. The construction is complemented by plywood base panels, which contribute to a cohesive and sturdy build across the different parts. The table is finished with a surface of tempered float glass, which serves as the visible and functional work surface. The combination of materials creates a construction in which each component has its specific function.

Design

The tabletop is not designed solely for practical purposes; aesthetic details have also been incorporated. The opening mechanism of the drawer is concealed when the drawer is closed, as the sides of both the drawer and the tabletop are shaped with 45-degree angles. On the side where the drawer opens, the sides of the drawer and tabletop are attached to one another, causing both to move together when the drawer is opened.

All sides are also bevelled along the top edge to give the tabletop a more refined and distinctive appearance. The glass also has a bevelled edge, although this serves a more practical purpose by reducing the risk of sharp edges. For the same reason, all edges of both the table and the glass panel are rounded.

Technical Specifications

The primary function of the tabletop is to serve as a display object and exhibition aid. It includes an inner drawer with internal dimensions of 537.5 × 335 × 46 mm. This space can hold display materials or, in the case of this project, various interactive elements.

The tabletop itself measures 600 × 600 × 70 mm and is topped with a 610 × 610 × 6 mm glass panel. The total height is therefore 76 mm. Combined with a standard base, the height from the floor to the underside of the tabletop is 700 mm, and 776 mm to the top surface. The glass is permanently fixed to the tabletop frame.

To allow the contents of the tabletop to be changed, the inner drawer is removable. The drawer runs on two rails, one on each side, and has a recessed threaded metal insert in its base panel. Together with a screw and a hole in the tabletop’s bottom panel, this allows the drawer to be locked in place so that it cannot be opened unless necessary.

SELF DRIVING BUS

This project focused on autonomous innovation as my partner and I designed a self-driving bus tailored for the Swedish countryside. We aimed to solve the connectivity gap for rural residents who live far from major transit hubs, offering a reliable alternative to cars for youth and seniors. While mopeds provide mobility for those over fifteen, they are impractical during harsh winters. Through this concept, we provide a sustainable commuting solution that bridges the distance to train stations. The accompanying visuals and video demonstrate the design and operational functionality of this vehicle to provide a clear view of the project´s result. It also include a view of the environment built to visualize the aim of the project
